Our organization serves to promote tennis and community involvement for members of all ages and all levels of ability. While most individuals and families come from our immediate area, we do extend our invitation to households well beyond our locale in Scarborough, now also known as the East District of Toronto. We have been in existence for over 40 years. As our membership and leadership changes, the programming for our group continues to evolve. In 2015, we had 144 members, with 75% adults and the balance, 25%, were juniors (under age 18).
We are a community tennis club. As a permit holder, we have the permission and share in the responsibility of caring for the recreational tennis facility, as granted by the City of Toronto's Economic Development, Culture & Tourism department. The Parks, Forestry, and Recreation division is our main point of contact. We are also affiliated directly with the STF (Scarborough Tennis Federation) and also a member club of the OTA (Ontario Tennis Association).
